Wear casual quick drying clothes (shorts or swimwear), medications, sunglasses, water and sunscreen. If you don’t want to wear our booties (super warm wetsuit like shoes) wear tie on soft soled shoes you don’t mind getting wet. Leave a towel and a set of dry clothes in the car.
A short but powerful crash course on water safety and how to raft, USCG approved PFD (life jackets), booties (to keep your feet warm), splash jackets / pants, dry bags for valuables and farmer john wet suits (depending on air temperature), all at no additional charge! We also have helmets available upon request.
You do NOT need to know how to swim. Each person must wear a properly fitted US Coast Guard approved life jacket at all times, which we will provide.
There is a 50 lb minimum weight for children and no minimum age requirement.
Harbick’s Country Store, located at 91806 Mill Creek Rd. Rainbow, Oregon. Its 48 miles east of I-5 on Hwy 126 (Milepost 48). Parking is available there or at Paradise Campground where we launch the rafts.
Eugene’s LTD Bus service goes from downtown Eugene all the way up the McKenzie 4 times a day midweek and 2 times a day on weekends. If you can’t drive (or don’t want to) this is a cheap option.
